The Woman Behind the Hook

Hi.

My name is Betsy.

I am a happily married SAHM who loves to crochet.

Paul and I have been married since 2006.  We met at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI and the rest is history as they say :-)

We have two daughters.  Belle (Isabelle) was born in 2009 and she is my little spit-fire.  She has loads of personality and spunk, and she keeps us laughing all day long.  Evie (Evelyn) was born in 2011 and she is a nice compliment to Belle.  She is laid-back and a very go-with-the-flow kind of kid.

Our one and only son is our dog, Mac.  He handles all the craziness in this house rather well, and often just chooses to hole up on our bedroom and sleep.  Smart dog.

I have been crocheting since 2004.  I was in college and for some reason decided I wanted to learn how to make things out of yarn.  I really have no clue what spurred my interest, but I picked up some yarn, a hook, and headed to the internet.  Needless to say, my first attempts were terrible.  I had no clue what I was doing.  In frustration I put it down.  A year later I wanted to try again, and for some reason it just "clicked," and I have been hookin' ever since.

Crochet is my therapy and my creative outlet.  I love that I can take a strand of yarn and make it into something functional, yet cute.

If you want to follow the craziness of my family, my personal blog is www.pbthompson.blogspot.com.
